Associate or Full Professor for the Andrew A. Robinson Eminent Scholar Chair in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Economic Development 

 General Description: The University of North Florida’s Department of Leadership, School Counseling and Sport is seeking a 9-month, tenure-earning, Associate or Full Professor for the Andrew A. Robinson Eminent Scholar Chair in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Economic Development.  This position will report to The Chair of Leadership, School Counseling and Sport Management. Position responsibilities include contributing to the mission and vision of the College of Education and Human Services by examining educational PK-12 educational effectiveness and a 2/2 teaching load or its equivalent and service.  About the Department: The Department of Leadership, School Counseling, and Sport Management offers professional studies suitable for students interested in several education careers paths. Master of Education programs are offered in school leadership, early childhood leadership, higher education administration, educational leadership, educational technology, school counseling, ASL/English Interpreting, and athletic administration and a Doctor of Education program is offered in educational leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate in educational leadership, education policy, or a closely discipline closely related to educational leadership related discipline,
  • Record of scholarship (e.g., research impact, peer-reviewed publications, research awards, external funding), teaching, outreach, and service commensurate with rank.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience chairing and serving on doctoral dissertation committees.
  • Experience working with students to develop a professional knowledge base that integrates both practical and research knowledge, that links theory with systemic and systematic inquiry
  • Experience leading, teaching, mentoring, or otherwise supporting the development of people/students from underserved populations.
  • Record of community partnership development,
  • Experience pursuing external funding.
